1.Introduction of MI Heating Cable
Adopting the special processing technique, MI heating cable is produced by single or multi-strip alloy heating wires as the heat source, the high-purity, heat-resisting, electrofusion crystallizable magnesium oxide as the thermal insulator, and the seamless, continuous stainless steel or copper tube as the sheath. Furthermore, PE or LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) can be added as the protective coat in highly corrosive places.
Mineral-insulated MI heating cable with stainless steel sheath
The mineral-insulated heating cable series with stainless steel sheath can satisfy the needs for high temperature and heating power (as 268W/m). Heating cable with stainless steel sheath can bear the maximum temperature as high as 600℃ and the conductor resistance ranges from 28000 to 19.2Ω/km. The mineral-insulated heating cable has very good mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
Mineral-insulated MI heating cable with copper sheath
The mineral-insulated heating cable series with copper sheath can meet high temperature condition and the needs of heat tracing for long-distance transport pipe. Heating cable with copper sheath can bear the maximum temperature of 250℃ and the conductor resistance ranges from 480 to 0.5Ω/km. For situation requires corrosion resistance and buried application, HDPE sheath (MIHC)needs to be added. MIHC can resist maximum temperature of 90℃.The mineral-insulated heating cable has very good mechanical strength.

3.Product Standard
Heating cable with maximum temperature lower than 250℃ should conform to the standard IEC800(92), “Rated voltage 300/500V for life appliance heating & deicing heating cable”. Cables with maximum temperature more than 250℃ should implement the enterprise standard.
4. Electrical Performance
Resistance tolerance: ±10%
Dielectric property--heating cable withstand voltage: 1200VAC/1min
insulation resistance—finished product test: 100MΩ/500VDC
Jacket continuity--immerse the whole heating cable (including the connector) into water for 12H and then test the insulation resistance, which should be 50M/500VDC at least.
